Holiday Inn Express Knadle Hall

I really like this place. It is not a luxury hotel but it is a great home away from home. The beds are super comfortable. The staff is super nice. The location is beautiful. Breakfast is good. I mean it’s great. To the person that said they had to take out their own trash - you don’t have to - you can leave it in your room until they do cleaning service (Tuesday/Thursday) or you can put it outside your door - OR you can stop feeling so entitled and take YOUR trash to the trash can- or hire a butler. Look at all the options! Thanks for hosting me and the amazing stay.

Stayed here for 58 nights for the FA57 course, firstly, the staff go above and beyond, they host a social dinner weekly; work hard to provide a good breakfast, and answer maintenance requests immediately. The main drawback is the building, it’s old, it leaks, it’s humid, and the rooms aren’t super well insulated so you can hear your neighbors. My experience overall was fine, as my neighbors were respectful most of the time and quiet. If you’re an FA57, this is conveniently located to the schoolhouse. There’s a huge laundry room with probably 10 washers and 10 dryers, and the gym is really nicely setup, and generally empty. No pool on the property. House keeping is twice a week and does fantastic. The kitchenette is stocked decently and useful. There are gaps between the doors and hallway which let a lot of light in, I’d use a towel at the bottom to block the hallway lights, I wish they dimmed them at night. I’ve heard plenty of ACs and general plumbing issues from classmates, though never experienced any personally, like I said, it’s a very old building and needs a lot of love. Very content with the accommodations for the summer. The internet does pretty well, they offer an HDMI for the TV. Full size refrigerator, stove top, microwave, no oven. Bed is comfortable, pillows are pretty bad (as most hotels are), I brought my own and recommend you do for long stays.

The front desk staff is always so helpful and tries really hard to accommodate. I had a reservation through official orders and it didn’t show up and they really tried to make it work. The lodging itself is fine it’s nothing luxurious but the location is convenient. Laundry is free and the breakfast is great.

Decent Stay with Some Highlights and Drawbacks…. But I’d still give 4 stars because of the staff. I recently stayed at an IHG hotel and found my experience to be pretty average. The standard hot breakfast offered a selection of pastries and cereal, which was just okay. It did the job of knocking the hunger off in the morning, but nothing to write home about. One of the highlights was the complimentary dinners on Tuesdays, which were convenient even if they weren't particularly memorable. The rooms were of average size and included a kitchen area, but I found it a bit impractical since you could only fit one pot on the stove at a time. The refrigerator was also on the smaller side, more like a dorm fridge. On a positive note, the fitness room was well-equipped, featuring up to 50-pound dumbbells, cable weights, and various cardio equipment. I appreciated having access to a laundry room with multiple washers and dryers, which came in handy. However, I did encounter some issues with the key cards, as they seemed to deactivate frequently. I had to get new ones made almost every day, which was a bit of a hassle. The standout feature of this hotel has to be the staff. They were amazing—very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, which made my stay more pleasant. Considering the overall experience, I felt the rates were a bit steep at $174 a night. I would have extended my stay until my house was ready, but with no more TLE days left, the high rates were just not affordable for me. Overall, it was an okay stay with some positive aspects, but there’s room for improvement.

Nice hotel on Fort Belvoir. They allow pets, but the fee is almost more than the room.

It was a nice place, no major changes since our last stay a few years back. They've removed individual k-cup coffee pots in the rooms but coffee is available in the lobby. FYI-This place is pricey if you are bringing pets, you have a non-refundable pet deposit and nightly fee per pet.

Nice rooms, clean, and free breakfast. What more could you need? Always stay here when I come to Fort Belvoir.

I retired out of Fort Belvoir, it was refreshing to get back to the military installation that I last served. I wanted to be in a place I felt safe, didn't have to pay for parking, offered breakfast, and convenient. My room was spacious, the hotel was quiet, laundry services are available.
